Good and Bad

We from the high of last week, this week has been a very draining, slightly low week.

My energy levels feel cut in half, I'm getting enough water, sleep and exercise.

I'm eating 85% protein, little dairy and little fibre.

I had a 'few' drinks Saturday, but feel I've been dehydrated or else carried a lot of water since then..

I'm much more in natural remadies when trying to sort or relieve something, so I kept drinking water, hot water and lemon and matcha, I also invested in the yogi tea brand of liquorice, dandelion and cinnamon tea, I don't know whether it's just psychological but it seems to have helped or maybe the combo of all.

It was really hard to keep my head up this week while feeling like that, but like everything in life, with all the good, comes with some bad, and I know the results I've been seeing and how I'm feeling outweighs a packet of crisps or bread.

The Dreaded D Word

So having spoke to a good friend of mine, I started the Dukan Diet this week, it's basically scraping back your eating habits and system and starting from scratch.

Pure protein, zero carbs, some dairy and fibre..

first day was tough, but have dropped 7 pounds since Sunday, which has overwhelmed me as I was only really hoping for that for the week..

It's working, it's not long term, but will serve me well as a guide and has educated me as to what my body likes and what it rejects.

Have a wonderful Thursday

life not a stop gap

I've a few conversations about this lately, people that crash diet to lose 'those few pounds' and then what.... the pounds go back on and you're at square one.

I was never one of those people, pretty much because it was always more than a few pounds I needed to lose.. I never had enough will power or commitment to see things through, one of my many downfalls in the past.

it's very easy, my gym costs €29, it's central, it has everything I need for a decent work out, I walk out and my bus stop is there.... there's plenty of them to make that sort of set up work for you.

What is €29.... a cab home on a night out, a bottle of decent wine on the same night out, credit for your phone, a take away.....

It was a simple decision when I put all the above into context
